The above question says it all.

Basically, I see an image I like online that I would like to import into iphoto.

I click / hold the image, drag and drop it on the iphoto icon in my task bar.

Iphoto gives me the following message:

"Would you like to import the following duplicate photo?"

I select "Apply to all duplicates" and then select, "Don't Import"

The very next time I attempt to import an image, iPhoto takes me through the same exact run around.

It doesn't matter if I quite iphoto and restart, if I quit firefox and restart, remove the cashe from firefox, or if I don't select the "apply to all duplicates" button.

Safari works seamlessly when I do this so I always use safari and not firefox as I repeat this photo collecting process most every time I surf the web/facebook/etc.

I would LOVE to use Firefox all the time, but this glitch renders this impossible.

PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Thanks :) Summer

hmmm... I'm going to post this question... but I'm also going to delete firefox and then reinstall it to see if this solves the problem. I'll reply to my own problem with my results.

Why not drag the image onto the desktop and then drop onto the iPhoto icon instead? You might get more reasonable results that way.

I appreciate your advise but why would i want to perform a two step process every time I want to add a photo to iphoto (sometimes 20 times in a row, multiple times per day) when I don't have to w/ safari? It can obviously be done. I don't get why it doesn't work this way w/ firefox. It seems like a glitch to me that needs to be fixed rather then having to double my efforts.

The digital world is all about offering as few steps/clicks/etc. for everything. This is not an acceptable solution but again, I thank you for your advise.

I have the same problem as the person above, and it happens when I drag an drop to the iPhoto icon in the dock. I've tried clearing the cache, to no avail. I tried Apple help, and of course they were unable to help. Anyone out there who knows what the problem is?
