Yesterday I attempted to set up an account on Hulu. Every time I put in a password, it was rejected. I tried multiple times thinking it was a problem with Hulu. Did not work. So I went to Chrome and was able to set up an account without password being rejected -- I wonder if there is a solution to this as I want to use FF -- thanks.

Without a error screenshot of the process no one is going to know what is happening with the account setup.

Now that you have the account set up, can you sign in to Hulu on Firefox using the username and password that work on Chrome? If not, do you get a specific error message?

By the way, if you were using Firefox's complex password generator, it doesn't have a way to sense specific site requirements, like a combination of numbers, text, special characters, etc., so you may need to override the generated password from time to time to meet site requirements.

Hi - no - still cannot sign in - I tried to copy the message that comes up but it didn't copy. It essentially says, "we cannot sign you in" No reason. I also cannot sign into another site using FF but is ok with Chrome. That site gives no reason either. Not sure if there is a solution. Thanks.

I will try again and do a screen shot. Can you see it?

Hmm, that's kind of a vague error message.

If a site is generally known to work in Firefox, these are standard suggestions to try when it stops working normally:

Double-check content blockers: Firefox's Tracking Protection feature, and extensions that counter ads and tracking, may break websites that embed third party content (meaning, from a secondary server).

(A) The shield icon toward the left end of the address bar usually turns a bit purplish when content is blocked. Click the icon to learn more or make an exception. See: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop.

(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix may block required elements on a site. Usually you can find a toolbar button for each add-on to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you sometimes need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.

Any improvement?

I will try your suggestions. I do have these: I will disable one at a time and see. I do hate doing that but if it's just to get the sign-in and I can re-enable after it will be ok.

You don't usually have to disable them completely, just on a site-by-site basis, but where to find that option varies. Usually it's their toolbar button, which may be either directly on the toolbar or on the puzzle-piece drop-down (Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar).
