I've recently come back to Firefox after using Chrome, and seem to be having issues playing videos within Firefox.

The video is choppy and freezes whilst the audio continues and yet the same video works perfectly fine whilst viewed in Chrome.

Is this with all websites, some, a few?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Youtube seems to be fine, but twitch & MLG are horrendous. I've tried it whilst in safe mode and it's still doing the same thing. I've also installed the windows media player plugin as per the first link.

Upon further playing it appears the issue only happens when i switch the quality to 1080p. 720p works fine, but everything works fine in chrome.

Tried all of the above, have even tried that.

Audio plays fine, video stutters and freezes. Safe mode makes no difference.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
