Writing to mailbox on Novell fileshare is extremely slow.
Sysinternals Process Monitor as well as Wireshark reveal that writing to a mailbox stored on a Novell fileshare (NCP protocol) is happening by blocks of no more than 100 bytes (usually way less). Evidently, it takes ages to move something to such a mailbox.
Reading is not an issue. Writing to a local folder or an IMAP folder is not an issue either.
I've found related bug reports (mailbox on file share) potentially dating back years. Is this really still an issue?
This is TB 38.7 on Win7 32-bit.
Thanks.

Indeed, it is a known performance issue. Major code change required. Someone has been steadily working on it for many months. We hope to have it fixed in version 52.
Ok... Interestingly writing to a CIFS share works just fine.
