mp3 files not playing in Firefox for Windows
We have an issue with mp3 files not playing in Firefox for Windows. The problem is random, we publish mp3 files around the clock of our shows on the air and about 50% will not play. Our website uses the jPlayer player in a WordPress website, here is an example.....

The first segment on this show page does not play while the second does. We had this same issue in Google Chrome a couple of months ago and I confirm on the Google Chrome help page as I'm doing now on this Firefox site. We confirmed it did not happen in their development release, Canary, and the issue was fixed in a later version of Google Chrome. Does Firefox have a development release to see if this has not been identified yet?
Chosen solution
Yes, FF45 does seem to have the issue fixed. Funny, the original link I posted here now plays in FF44, so I went dow the list of our most recent recordings and found this one does not play in FF44....

But it *does* play in FF45, so we'll have to wait for the update. Thanks!

This still doesn't work in the current Firefox 47 Nightly build. In this version there is an error message in the Web Console (3-bar button or Tools > Web Developer):
Media resource http://sound.wmnf.org/sound/wmnf_000000_000001_aef1_380.MP3 could not be decoded.
Did you try to recode this file using the same parameters as in the second section?
All the files are generated by Icecast using the same configuration automatically on schedule, there is no difference in parameters between files. We did try to use VBR instead of CBR, but same results.
Did you test with the new FF45?
With FF45 on my side, the MP3 http://sound.wmnf.org/sound/wmnf_000000_000001_aef1_380.MP3 is played fine since the start.
