Firefox versions are dropped from support when the next version is released. So 39 was dropped from support that minute 40 was released.

The exception is ESR, but that's not for home usage.

so for an organization, FireFox 38 is the oldest ESR currently supported? https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/
