I want the full addressing information to appear on top of the original message I am replying to, not only the line "On <date-time>, <sender> wrote:"

more options

I can't seem to find the configuration option in Thunderbird to have the following information added on top of the emails I reply to:

From: <original sender>

Sent: <date-time>

To: <list of original recipients>

Cc: <list of originally copied recipients> (if applicable)

Subject: <original email-subject>

Priority: <priority of the original message> (if applicable)

Sensitivity: <sensitivity of the original message, i.e., Private, Confidential, etc.> (if applicable)

This information appears on the email I forward, but on my replies I always get is a line that reads: "On <date-time>, <sender> wrote:"

Can someone help me with this?

Thank you!

@sfhowes: Thank you so much! I will obviously need to do some tweaking and tinkering here and there, but this solution is even better than expected.

The download file is .xpi , which my windows PC does not know what to do with.

Windows does not need to do anything with it. You install add ons from Thunderbird. Go to add ons. Look for a small icon that looks like a gear. Click that and select Install from File. Navigate to the file and install it.
