Firefox asks me if I can run as Administrator but then won't let me install.
I download firefox, when I try to install it tells me I may not have the permission to run all tasks as administrator, and then has me put in a password, which I don't know, and if I click on as computer administrator, it shuts down.

Did you try to run the Firefox installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator)?

What is the Operating System of the device you are having a problem on ?
And what is the device itself: type, make and model ?

i just did the right click as administrator and it worked.
thank you so much :)
wish I'd asked sooner
when you right click, what do I select?
I have this problem also. When you say right click as administrator, where? What goes in password? Thanks.
Download and save the full Firefox installer to the desktop and start the installation via the right-click context menu: Run as -> Administrator

Hi cslb2114,
You still need the correct known password.
Assuming you are using Windows the right click option should list the Administrator account or accounts available and prompt for the password. If you have problems please start your own question using /questions/new
