How do I disable Optimum Online Search?
My default search engine is Google but everytime I do a search, the Optimum Online Search Page opens and shows a message that says something like "We could not find results for....". How can I disable the Optimum Online Search Engine? This does not happen when I use any other browser.

There is no Firefox for Android Search bar
Optimum is your Internet Service Provider. You need to opt out of their DNS hijacking. https://www.optimum.net/pages/DNS.html
You will need to do this once for each browser that you use and whenever you clear your cookies.

Are you trying to search from the address bar or the search bar ?
From the address bar. But the addresss bar also doubles as the search bar, doesn't it? When I type something in the address bar and hit enter, the Optimum Online Search Page opens.
Not necessarily. In Firefox, a search in the address bar brings up a result from your internet service provider. If you are looking for Chrome-like functionality in the address bar, you could install an add-on such as Omnibar. I use the search bar, it works good enough for me.
Thank you for your reply. I tried installing Omni Bar but it isn't compatible with the latest version of Firefox. I guess I'll use Dolphin or Chrome until Mozilla fixes this problem.

I am sorry but I am talking about Firefox for Android, not the regular desktop browser.
I know on regular Firefox Desktop fromfx23 the search bar setting affects the address bar result, I do not know if it is the same on Firefox mobile on Android
