I have approx 50 bookmarks in some of the bookmark toolbar tabs.

Until recently it would show all (that would fit on the screen)

and I could scroll through them to select, or bring more up from the bottom of the list.

Now, for the past couple of days, the drop downs only show 10 to 20 bookmarks, and I can no longer scroll down the list to bring up the missing bookmarks.
These bookmarks are not lost as I can see them all in "Show all Bookmarks"
     What has changed ?
Win 7, ff 23.0.1, with adblock plus and no script (these add-ons are not new, I have always used them)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can also check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
