I had many, many tabs open in a browsing session which I needed to refer to. Suddenly Windows updated without warning, and my system shut down. However, I wasn't worried, because I thought I could restore my previous session, as I have before. Then, Adobe Flash asked me to update to a new version and I agreed to do this. A new window from Adobe then opened in Firefox. When I attempted to restore my "previous" session, the session was only the Adobe window! What can I do? Please help! Thanks!

Try typing about:sessionrestore in the address bar. Do any sessions appear there? If so, you can restore from there.

Also you can try going to History -> Recently Closed Windows in the menu to see if anything is listed there.

Thank you, rrosario! I will try both of your suggestions and let you know how it works out. Thanks, again!

rrosario, I'm sorry, but neither suggestion worked! Actually, I tried going to "history" and then "recently closed windows" and "tabs" prior to posting my question.... I will try going to "history" again to see if I can go further back in time. Anyone else who'd like to assist with solving this problem will be most welcome to do so. Thank you, rrosario - I appreciate your posts!

Even if you can't restore the session, if you didn't set FF to clear your history after closing, you should be able to manually open all of the pages you had opened by clicking CTRL+H and sifting through your history.
