How do i edit (rename) or delete unused tags in ForeFox. So this is my main question.

A related question is that is there a add-on which will allow me a categorize and sub-categorize (like group, sub-group, and so on) tags.

Sorry about that...

Well, tags that are no longer used are deleted from Firefox. You cannot edit tags by themselves, but rather edit the bookmarks that have those tags. As the article says.

As for the add-on, I really have no idea, but in case you don't know where to look, here's where: https://addons.mozilla.org/

Tags that are no longer used should be removed automatically. What do you see in the right pane if you select such a tag in the left pane in the Library (Bookmarks Manager)?
