My computer had issues so I restarted it. When I did and opened Firefox, it made me make a new account like it was a first time installation. I no longer have ANY of the information I originally had although it is still stored in the same directory that Firefox is using to store the new information including emails - it created new folders. I tried make a new profile but it still created new folders again. I'm using Firefox 38.2.0 and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Okay did the Windows XP updates and updated flashplayer. Neither helped.

Sorry, I totally screwed up. The problem is with Thunderbird not Firefox. I was typing and looking in Firefox so got screwed up.

I'll resubmit the question.
