Hello,

The "searchplugins" Folder in the installation folder/browser doesn't exists in FF 40. Was it relocated? If not, what's the alternative/replacement? - I'd like to change Google's image.

Thank you.

hi, this was an intentional change in bug 1162569. your best option is to create a custom search plugin (with a slightly different name) in the searchplugins-subfolder of your profile folder.

Hello philipp,

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

I haven't read the entire bug discussion yet. I edit omni.ja anyway. Do you know where the default file is located? "searchplugins-subfolder of your profile folder". Create it, correct.

Best regards.

hi, i'd strongly discourage you from editing the omni.ja file - this will cause problems after every update.

yes, in case it isn't present yet, you can create the searchplugins folder in your profile yourself and put the .xml files of your search providers in there...

Hello philipp,

Thanks again. It's very kind of you.

Just in case, I've found it. :) The folder is under browser/YOUR LOCAL in omni.ja.

Best regards.
