Update 35 has just messed up my puter! running XP Pro with and older graphic card (NO DRIVER UPDATES AVAIL) reinstalled OS last year with great difficulty but finally got it running without issues but this latest update has blocked my Nvida graphics driver and now clicking on web pic's will not enlarge!, tested on IE and it works so it's definitely a Firefox issue and it started yesterday after I downloaded the latest update 35 Everything else appears to be working, so far? This is a mess trouble shooting page had no fix other than to update driverI cannot upgrade the driver as a fix!! I am not techie enough to understand the other suggestions and will not mess with what I don't understand. Why would Mozilla install and update with no options knowing there are still users running older software without a fix/uninstal/or the ability to disable blocking. Help please!!!

Hi SueNYC, I understand that its an issue with a blocked Nvidia graphics card driver and that it will not update.

Can you please provide the graphics driver that is listed on the about:support page and we can further investigate if its blocked correctly. It is possible to unblock it, however this would change the experience.

Current blocked: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers#NVIDIA_card...

Also if there is no driver update and it is not possible to enlarge images, what are the steps that you are taking to enlarge the photo.

Have you tried Firefox's zoom feature? This will help increase the size of web pages.

  • To make things bigger, press Ctrl and &#43 at the same time.
  • To make things smaller, press Ctrl and - at the same time.
  • To reset the size back to normal, press Ctrl and 0 at the same time.

You can also use the NoSquint. add-on to change the default zoom level for all websites at once. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.

Using NoSquint:

  1. After installing NoSquint, make sure you have the Add-on Bar displayed:
    • Right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
  2. Click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
    • You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but it's not recommended that you go higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.

If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.

Please let us know if this helped you!

Thank you.

Not will not - cannot

I'm afraid it's not that simple. 1st let me explain: in of Dec 2013 I decided to reinstall my XP Pro O/S as in anticipation of Micro ending support and with 6 years of hiccups and broken registries I want a clean install. Unfortunately it turned out to be a nightmare. The tech returned my computer totally inoperable with the graphics vidio distorted amongst other things. Anyway I had the original install of the Nvida software saved on my desktop which he choose to ignore. OK so moving along after a few months of fighting to try to get him to correct all the issues I hired another tech, OK so 7 hours later and help from Dell level 2 tech support he left with a partial install and lost 50 % of my files. OK so the company now send another tech over Wala he at least knows what he was doing and did work around and got most of everything running correctly but because the graphic card was no longer supported I could not update it! So I was left with a 1900 monitor and had to manually enlarge browsers, yes including Firefox to a viewable size, however not every window/pages on Firefox held the size and occasionally it goes back to the native 1900 x 1200 which I have to enlarge manually An annoyance but after tinkering with the graphic settings it was the best I could do and was dealing with it and as long as that was the only issue I was happy up until 3 days ago when I updated 35.

The feature of the graphics that appears to be connected to the driver is when I roll the mouse over a pic or click on a pic on a website it no longer enlarges. I was on a web page and it was working without issue up until I got the download update window. closed all windows and updated 35, after I went back to what I was doing and it was no longer working so I tried a few other web pages and all were the same, I then opened IE 8 and it worked without issue The graphic's data from the troubleshooting page follows, Hope that helps it gives you more info than just the graphic card model.
