When ever I am listening to radio or talk radio, the sound cuts off unless I move my mouse every dam 5 seconds..This is really starting to pi** me off. Whatever new add on's you guys sent please get rid of it. I have tried restoring my computer to an earlier date and works until the dam update uploads again. So I tried removing firefox an reinstalling....Nothing works.

Is this problem limited to audio players?

There is a much more severe issue affecting some Firefox 25 users where the browser just stops doing anything until the mouse is moved again. The best workaround for that at the moment is rolling back to Firefox 24. There is a link to the old installer in this article: Install an older version of Firefox. To change your update settings so you can defer the reinstallation of Firefox 25, see this article: Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox.

We are sorry that you are displeased with Firefox and we can understand your frustration.
Please be aware that the Firefox updates are for user security.

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

FirefoxSafeMode

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode" Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

Please report back soon.

I have notice that your Shockwave Flash plugin is out-dated. This is a third party program that is not related to Firefox, so it is not updated automatically with the Firefox program.

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

hey, just to keep you updated - there is now a fix available for firefox 25, which should address the particular problem of pages not loading unless the mouse is moved.

if you have downgraded to firefox 24 to work around the issue, please go to firefox > options > advanced > update and turn automatic updates back on. then go to firefox > help > about firefox which should trigger the update to firefox 25.0.1. in case you need to download the setup file for firefox 25.0.1 separately you can do so from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox

The better download link for Firefox 25.0.1 is at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ versus that channels page mentioned above. Also this will give you the full installer versus the stub installer on Windows.
