Why does Firefox crash initially when 'Forget about this site' is selected as it has never done this before and only crashes to a Blank New Tab, but if I go back and do it again then it doesn't crash until I X out of the web pages and try it again?

Thanks

Additional info: Go to History>Show all History>Select Today(for example)>Then right click on the selection that you wish to remove and a drop down menu appears and select 'Forget about this site' at the bottom and then Firefox crashes???

Which items do you have selected in the clear history settings (history, cache, cookies)?

You can try to select only one at a time to see if you can identify which choice is causing this problem.

Just the single web selections under FF Show ALL History in the Library, as stated above and one at a time and has never happened before until FF was upgraded to FF16 recently.

The initial action seems to be causing the problem and so long as the browser is not closed the process can be repeated without any trouble.

Sorry. I should have asked if the crash also occurs if you use Clear Recent History to clear data instead of using forget about this site.

There may be a problem with deleting some of the data, so maybe you can identify this via Clear Recent History.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

See:

You can also try to reset Firefox to create a new profile.

No just as described.
