Sometimes it freezes in the middle of playing a video; and sometimes it it happens when I begin a copy and paste function. It's been happening almost daily, and sometimes 2-3 times in one day. I keep several tabs open at all times. I've been using Firefox for years and do not remember this happening before the past few weeks. I always update to the latest version. It does not seem to happen on my laptop, only my desktop. OS is Windows 7.

Hey paradoxman316,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Firefox Hangs Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

I'm having the same problem since updating. It will work fine, and then just freeze up and have to restart Firefox. I just tried this in safe mode as well, just suggested above, but it froze up within 5 minutes as well.
