Why does underlining display as strikethrough in the New Athena Unicode font (Mac OS 10.6.8, Firefox 10.0)? The underlining displays properly in Safari 5.1.2.

New Athena Unicode ( http://apagreekkeys.org/NAUdownload.html ) is a freeware Unicode font used by classical scholars for "English and Western European languages, polytonic Greek, Coptic, Old Italic, and Demotic Egyptian transliteration (and Arabic transliteration)...". I am working on an online publication that requires NAU for certain characters (especially Coptic) to display properly. After we designated NAU as the preferred font in our stylesheets, any underlining (whether of regular text or of hyperlinks) began displaying as strikethrough in Firefox 10.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8. The problem does not occur in Safari 5.1.2 on the same machine. The publication is still in development (i.e. not yet freely viewable) but I can provide screenshots upon request.

Seems to be working fine on Linux.
I do see a lot of errors if I validate the font in FontForge.
