Why should I update to the "New" Firefox, when by doing so I will have to disable Symantec? If your system does not work well with that, then I am in a true conundrum, as I need that program to provide all the protection I absolutely need from the web.

I keep getting a pop up urging me to upgrade to the new Firefox, but then I get a notice that says the upgrade will not work with Symantec, my Norton account that protects my machine from various things on the Internet. I simply will not do that. You either have to find a way to make the upgrade work with Symantec, or purchase some other, equal protection for me.

Firefox doesn't disable the entire Synmantec program, just the Symnantec extensions for Firefox. And those extensions can be easily updated for the new version of Firefox by running a Symantec / Norton Live Update, after the new version of Firefox is installed.

Thank you. I can feel much more comfort in doing this now.
