I thought it wise to point out an imperfect feature: download manager.

Even though firefox's main purpose is not to function as a download manager, it is obvious that many people use it for saving online content.

Problem description: Download fails if a download is tried to resume (computer brought out of sleep [in Win7 meaning]) in an environment with no internet access! How pathetic is that!? Instead of storing the file until internet connection can be re-established, the download is declared dead "because the source file could not be accessed". And I am suggested to try again later.

From this point on, there is no resume download button etc... and I know of no way to resume my download. The files (including the 4.18GB .part file) are still in the download folder. If I only knew how to resume a download from that .part file... Would you please kindly tell me!

I have found a solution to resume the download from the old parts file.

Pity I didn't think of it myself! Starting a new download instance of the same file, pausing the download, overwriting the newly created files with the old ones (two files), and then resuming the download from firefox download manager - This method works well. Obviously!
