I can no longer view Instagram in my browser. For a week or so I've had trouble with Instagram. I can log in but all I get is the grey Instagram camera logo in the middle of my browser window. The app on my phone works fine. If I continue to try logging in on my computer to see if it works yet Instagram locks my account until I enter a password they send my email. My eyes aren't great and I need to view Instagram on my computer monitor. Please help. How do I fix this?

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks for the reply Fred,

I'm in a bit over my head here.

I shut off tracking protection by clicking the shield when on the problem page and refreshed. No difference. My browser in in private mode so cookies and cash are deleted on close. I tried safe mode and that didn't help either. Smart block was introduced back in march, this problem started a week ago or so.

Does it make a difference if you exit PB mode and open the website in regulsr mode ?

When I exit private browsing mode I still can't view the site. When I exit and restart my browser I cant even view the log in page. When I restart private browsing the log in page comes up but when I log in all I get is a white page with the instagram camera logo in grey.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling mozilla. If there is still a problem try logging onto a different Instagram account and see if there is a problem with that one. They could be blocking your account because they may believe it was hacked.

I hate uninstalling, It always takes so long to get things back to the way I like them. It didn't make a difference for this account. I wish I had tried a different account first. That was a great idea. It looks like Instagram has locked the account. I've messaged them 5 times already over the past week and a half. They always thank me for my input but never get back to me with an answer.

Thanks for the help everyone. None of you are affiliated with Instagram are you?

FWIW I have this exact same issue. If I go to Instagram on Firefox I see the screen below. Starting in Safe mode makes zero difference. Clearing cache makes zero difference. My account is still good because I can log in fine using Chrome or Edge, but I like the Instagram extensions that Firefox has, so prefer to view it there - but can't!

Note that this happened exactly after restarting from the last update earlier this week. Never had any issue that I can recall on Instagram (going back years).

What update? Firefox or the computer?
