Help with New Tab "favorites"; inadvertantly deleted a site. I'd like it back

I've done this before. I like the "frequently visited" icons on the "new tab" page--use it all the time. Today, I inadvertently deleted one--something I've done before--and I'd like to get this icon/page link back on my "new tabs" page. Is there a file somewhere that holds these as "never show me again"?

If you know the domain then you can drag a link (tab) from the website to a tile.

Changes made manually on the about:newtab page are stored in prefs that you can find on the about:config page.

  • browser.newtabpage.pinned stores websites that you have pinned to a tile.
  • browser.newtabpage.blocked stores websites that you have removed by clicking the X button in a tile.

You can reset user set (bold) pref(s) on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
