Best Way To Add and Combine Many Multiple Email Accounts
Hi,
I am using thunderbird for my 8 main email accounts.
However, I have about 40 email accounts that receive 10-30 email messages per year that I'd like to add. Ideally, I'd want to have them all loaded in one thunderbird instance, all of them have their own individual inbox, drafts, etc folders, but also have all their emails go into one global inbox as well.
This way I don't have to check 40 individual inbox folders for new messages, but can easily send emails from one individual email account by using its own set of folders when needed.
Not sure if I'm better off using these 40 emails on a separate instance of thunderbird (different profile) or on the same thunderbird instance I use my main emails.
In any case, I'm not really sure how to do either or what is best?

Why put them anywhere else?
There's no shortcut to adding accounts; you'll have to add each one by hand. File|New|Existing Mail Account.
By default, each will have its own set of folders. I can't suggest any way to combine them into a common Inbox and keep them separate. But there are a variety of folder views that are useful. Unified Folders generates a virtual composite Inbox that contains all of the Inboxes. But if you have a busy Inbox, or choose to store messages there, your new messages might be overwhelmed. I use another view, Unread Folders, to keep on top of newly arrived messages. This gives you a list of folders where new unread messages can be found. The QuickFilter bar then lets you limit the display to just unread messages.
