Font size and zoom - How do I reset the text size to native 100%

I use Thunderbird with two hats. Obviously, I browse the internet for my own interest and enjoyment. But I also work design web pages, but I'm not highly technical.

Because of my age my eyesight needs to have text zoomed in order to read many websites. However, I have not found that Firefox returns to the "out of the box" 100% when I go to a new page. (Or, conversely, I find that new pages inherit the zoom I have done even in new tabs.) Thus, I no longer even know what native 100% looks like, and depending on the style decisions made by the owners of websites I visit, the interaction between Firefox, the carry-over zoom I've done, it's hard to know how much the visual presentation of the websites I visit is distorted.

This becomes even more crucial when I work with the websites I've designed. I have a situation now where I'm converting two sections of a static website to a blog. I'm having trouble trying to make the blog pages visually match the design of the static pages because I no longer know whether the presentation of my static site on Thunderbird is how I've actually designed it.

My laptop runs Windows 8.1 Firefox 50.0 (although it has just updated while I looked the version up and will be the current update when I restart) I use Dreamweaver for the development and editing of the static site and WordPress for the development of the blog site.

The url of the static site is http://www.standrewsharringtonpark.org The url of the in-development blog is http://www.dj-group.org/private/wordpress/wordpress4/news-and-events/

Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

Hi, in Firefox there is no one-size-fits-all zoom. Instead, the zoom level you set is remembered for each site you visit.

To reset to 100%, press the Ctrl and 0 (zero) key together.

More - Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages.

You can also use the zoom button in the 3-bar menu - which in Customize mode, can be dragged to a toolbar for more convenient access. See Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!
