hello, this nuisance often comes bundled with toolbars you've installed locally on your computer & may not affect visitors. can you go to firefox > addons > extensions and disable/remove all toolbars or extensions that you didn't install intentionally.

also do a full scan for malware on your system with a security software.

Thus site http://textsrv.com makes money infecting the billions of browsers. I cannot suggest every my visitor to do what you advised me to do, more over to do it before they start browsing my website. We must fight the website http://textsrv.com itself. HOW ???

If your anti-virus/internet security program has an anti-banner option, you might add the textsrv.com link to the blocked URLs list. It seems to have worked on my computer.

Again, this is all about MY single computer. What to do with the computers of my visitors if they are infected by this site http://textsrv.com ??? Again, I solved the problem for myself, BUT I don't want my visitors to see somebody elses links instead of MY affiliates links ! WHAT TO DO ?

Thanks !

I found a solution that worked for me, after trying several things. Someone on this site said to go to Tools > Add-Ons > Extension. Then when I got there, I found that the one that removed it was called "I want it".

It appears it has been called other things also, from reading other solutions, but this is what worked for me.

I had the same problem, but with Chrome. None of the above suggested solutions worked for me, as this nuisance apparently distributes it self in many different ways.

I did though get rid of it, you can read how at my blog, as this was so annoying I had to write about is...

This is YOUR ACTUAL flash player control panel. Disable 'allow third party flash content to store data on your computer'

Text enhance is using adobe flash to store its data on your computer. Its not the ideal solution but it completely disables it permanently in any case.

I had this problem too. I started up firefox in safe mode so it disabled my addons. This removed the annoying text enhance so it was clear that one of them was causing it.

In my case it was caused by a Facebook addon called "Dislike this".

After disabling/removing that, text enhance disappeared.

For me it was the extension Codecv 1.0 by JustPlugit that had the "Powered by Text-Enhance" ad-ware in it. I disabled/removed it and all was good.
