Since I updated Firefox on my Mac (Mountain Lion) to version 21.0 yesterday, the mouse scroll wheel isn't working on some sites (for example www.nu.nl). It is working properly on most sites. Anyone else having this problem? I've updated my add-ons.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Hi amithtshree,

Thank you for your answer. On a hunch I tried something else, I have the extension 'SmoothWheel (AMO)' installed, and I looked on their support site and it seems it's causing the trouble with FF 21.0. Disabled it and everything's back to normal!

Looks I managed to fix this by going into 'Firefox > Add ons > Extensions > and enabling .Net Framework Extension then restarting Firefox.

Hope this helps :o)
