I tryed with the download statusbar and downloademall but it didnt help. The procedure is like this: i click the download link, the page starts to load, after some time (depending on the file size) the download window pops up asking me where to save the file, i choose the destination and the file is downloaded. I suppose if everythig worked the download should begin after i choose the destination and then i should see the progress of the download which i cant right now. This way it seems like the file is being downloaded into cache first.

Firefox does download into a cache file 1st. I suspect your firewall is interfering. Someone with more knowledge should be able to help you with this.

In the mean time, try installing "DownloadThemAll" from from the Firefox Addons. This may be able to help you. I use "Down Load Them All" for my normal down-loader.

I know it doesnt download into cache, that wouldnt make any sense but it just seems that way. I tryed download statusbar and an external program orbit downloader. Nothing changed, but i'll try downloademall altough I doubt it will help. Thanks for the answer finally.
