i can't find any info on my question in the help section or the getting started page.are LSO's cookies and if i cancel them is it not harder or slower getting back to the page? what is the definition of LSO.

Flash cookies are usually referred to as LSO:
Do you have the Better Privacy extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) ?
