Hi , My main machine is a personal windows laptop. Firefox sync works fine and syncs all things including "all" my installed extensions . recently company issues me a macbook and on it when i install firefox and login my account for sync it syncs other things like bookmarks but does not sync all my extensions only a few of them.

I already tried multiple things like sync delibrately from windows and then pressing sync on mac or reinstalling firefox on mac . but its the same issue.

few of the extensions that are missing :

  1. Auto Tab Discard
  2. Download Manager (S3)
  3. DownthemAll
  4. Stylus ( very important for me)
  5. Tab Session Manager (THE most important for me)
  6. TamperMonkey ( Important)
  7. (Temporary Containers)
  8. uBlock Origin
  9. Xkit Rewritten
  10. Zoom Image

It is possible that you exceed the maximum quota for syncing extension data.

You can open about:sync-log via the location bar to see if recent Sync logs are available. You can upload the file to a website like Pastebin if you can't post the content of the file in a reply.

You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.

Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).

Hi @cor-el ,

thank you for the reply. I checked the about:sync-log and there a bunch of error logs : i have pasted one of the logs here : https://pastebin.com/Ufz7JqcU

also I installed about-sync and from the page in Addons section I can clearly see that there is an error. the server only has 14 records where as the client has around 53. In the validation tab it says: ``` serverMissing: 23 problems

The following records appear on the client but not on the server. ``` under the "engine actions" tab I see there is a "reset addons" button. the description says "Resetting an engine clears all local state, so the next Sync will act as though this was the first sync for that engine's data - all records will be downloaded, compared against local records and missing records uploaded "

is this safe, will this solve my issue.

Hoping that you will reply and help me solve this issue. thank you :)

Hi

I can't inspect the log because Pastebin blocked it, so could you please give it another try ?

I'm not seeing that much issues in the log, but I notice you have quite a few extensions, so it is possible you exceed the quota for this engine (it looks that Adblock Plus is already declined).
