How can I extract attachments from all my emails at once
I have more than ten years worth of emails and many have pictures attached. I would like to save all the pictures in one simple move. How can I do that?

The FiltaQuilla add-on provides a filter action to save attachments. I'm not confident it could also manage embedded pictures.

Sadly, that add-on is not compatible with the lastest version of Thunderbird. Oh well. Keep hoping!
That add-on is installed and working in my TB 52.4.0
