firefox crashes everytime I click on any pulldown menu
When I click on any pull-down menu, Firefox crashes. It makes no difference if it is a pull-down on any website or the pull-down to edit a bookmark. Clicking on every pull-down crashes Firefox.
When Firefox is recovered, I have found that most changes I have made via pull-down menus has been registered if I was able to make a choice before the crash. Most of the crashes occur in less than of a second after clicking on the pull-down menu.

Hey FelixFitness,
Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.
There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.
Hopefully this helps!
I forgot to add that I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion and nothing helps. It even crashes in safe mode.
the only thing I haven't tried is uninstall and reinstall. I have downloaded the install program again in the event there was a problem in my first download.
I was having problems viewing one site in IE8. After I had exhausted every attempt at repairing the problem in IE8, I called the IT Dept. that created the site I was having a problem with. They suggested trying Firefox as they had had a few reports of IE8 having a problem with the site but did not find any cause.
I then downloaded and installed Firefox, went through the process of importing my favorites from IE8, went to one of the sites I use often and tried to bookmark a page and Firefox crashed. That was March 1st 2012 when I clicked on the pull-down to put the bookmark in the right folder and the issue has happened almost every time since.
It makes no difference where the pull-down is. It can be a pull-down in the Firefox program or a pull-down on the site I am looking at, it will crash.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks for your help Matt. Everything I tried and that you suggested was no help.
I did finally find out what may have been the cause so I thought it might be some help to others for me to tell what corrected the problem.
I use RoboForm and had to install an upgrade shortly after I installed Firefox but had not gained any familiarity with the browser. Shortly thereafter, RoboForm came out with another upgrade. I did the upgrade and the crash upon clicking on a pulldown disappeared and has never shown again.
Again, thank you for your help.
