After a recent upgrade by our Spam server system, the embedded links from that System no longer open in a web browser when clicked in the email. We can open the link by "right-clicking" and choosing "open in browser". If done this way - all is well. But if we simply click on the link, the message pane area clears and all subsequent messages clicked in the message header window are also cleared in the message pane (doesn't matter what email it is or if it has an embedded link). Thunderbird appears to be trying to open the web page within the message pane, not opening a browser window to display web page. This is happening on at least 3 copies of Thunderbird running latest releases.

A reload of Thunderbird resolves the problem until link is clicked again.

Not a huge problem as we can work around it. Other links work fine.

Running 115.6.0 (64)

Wanted to mention that the links work correctly in Message View > Plain Text mode. The links are also very long (200 characters plus). Other links in this email change pointer style (little hand) when I hover over the link, but not the links in question, they remain as the standard pointer when hovering over the link. I’ve tried numerous “your links aren’t working in Thunderbird” documentation on the web but haven’t found anything so far. Appreciate any help.

are the links inside of a <button> tag? I'm having the issue now where and link that is a button opens up inside of Thunderbird instead of the browser.
