firefox parameters
I have a problem with video play and most of the answers say to set media.benchmark.vp9.fps
Where is it? Where do I set this parameter? I search firefox hep to locate this and get nothing except other posts saying to set this parameter, but none of them explain where to find it. ?????

Hi, that is a preference, and it is set in the Advanced Configuration Editor "about:config" (see Configuration Editor for Firefox).
In more detail:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste part of the preference you want to find and pause while the list is filtered -- for example in this case, you could type benchmark
(3) For preferences with a numeric or text value, double-click the preference to display an editing field, and change the value as instructed, then press Enter or click the blue check mark button to save the change.
I don't know what to tell you about media.benchmark.vp9.fps because it looks like the value was set by Firefox when I played a video. ???

What might have effect is disabling VP9 in case there are issues with this codec:
- about:config => media.mediasource.vp9.enabled = false
