I am trying to transfer my mail (imap) from my windows thunderbird to my linux laptop (xubuntu) to work offline. I followed the procedures to download the folders and messages, and I copied the profile from my windows machine to my linux machine. When I open thunderbird on my laptop (linux) all seems normal, I see my folders and messages. Then when I start changing from one folder to another the messages disappear and I ended with empty folders. If I close thunderbird and open it again (same profile), then all the folders also disappeared. I can reproduce the problem by copying the original profile (recovered from windows) again. Could you help me please?

The weird thing is that when I open Thunderbird the first time all the messages are there it is only when I go to a different folder that the messages disappear, including the ones I have just seen a second before. If you have any other ideas ...
