Since updating to FF 32.0.2, 'WmiPrvSE.exe' starts automatically on Firefox start-up. Any idea how to fix it?

Win 7, 32-bit.

The culprit here was Avast anti-virus. http://www.eightforums.com/performance-maintenance/24927-wmiprvse-exe-hogging-processor-2.html#post423037
