I am english(UK) and live in France. When I installed Firefox and use the google search, I get the French google search results. How do I change this to be the google UK results?
I live in France, but as I am english I want Firefox to use the google.co.uk search results NOT google.fr when I search from the search bar or from the Firefox home page. How do I change this?

- Download an XML file from http://uploadorb.com/tmv0mdpp7ro1
- Copy and paste the file{ i.e.google-uk.xml } to searchplugins folder
- It should be like this.. {C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins}
- Select Google UK as your default search engine in the search bar.

Alternatively, you can use the URL or address bar as a search bar.
- about:config
- search for keyword.URL
- use http://google.co.uk/search?q= as the string value.
At last! Thank you very much. That worked a treat!

I have this problem as well. I see in Firefox Options, language prefs, it is ticked for French & although I can ADD English results I CAN'T delete French...............WHY? Therefore I ALWAYS GET FRENCH SEARCHES. It seems stupid to have to configure something you DON'T REQUIRE? I have my Google search defaulted to English, it works using Chrome but not Firefox. Is there a way of defaulting English without changing plugin codes etc, if not WHY NOT?
