How do I restore a firefox profile using only the xxxxxxxx.default folder. A computer was infected and needed to be reimaged. I copied the xxxxxxxx.default folder from the Profiles directory. If I try to import the sqlite files, it doesn't work. Using the profile manager doesn't work. Copying the files into the new xxxxxxxx.default folder doesn't work. Importing the .JSON files don't work.

Is there any way to restore the profile using the xxxxxxx.default folder from the computer before the hard drive was wiped.

Note: All copying of files must be done when Firefox is closed. You can not copy the entire Profile folder, the Profile name on your new installation can't be changed from what is listed in the new profiles.ini file. If the Profile name doesn't match one of the Profiles listed in the profiles.ini file, when you start Firefox it will just create a new Profile because it can't find the one it is expecting to find.
