Firefox request password to install helper tool but will not launch
I have a user at my job that installed the latest Firefox update (13324.11.21) through our MDM. After installing this update she cannot launch Firefox. When attempting to launch she receives a request for a username and password to install a Helper Tool. She is an admin on her machine and enters her credentials. The message closes and nothing happens. When attempting to launch again the same thing happens. This is not happening with our other 100 Macs who have the same Firefox version and others who have the same OS.
Is anyone able to tell me why this is happening or how to fix? Any assistance is very much appreciated.
The below troubleshooting steps have been done:
Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox
Updated the OS to 15.0.1
Disabled the Master Password on Firefox through a Mac Profile
Checked if there was a Firefox file under /Library/PrivlegedHelperTools
Granted Full Disk Access to Firefox under System Settings

That looks like a Admin install request not something Firefox would do. That would require IT helpdesk to do the install on company computers.
Mark,
This user is an admin on their machine and enters their password on the prompt. However the prompt disappears, Firefox does not launch, then when attempting to launch again the prompt returns.
The issue is not the user needing help desk to install as it accepts their admin password.
That message doesn't look like a Firefox login message but system login. Maybe installing remotely might be the cause as needing to access the network to install is another possibility.

Yes it is a system login (MacOS)
We’ve installed it remotely for 100 other Macs and they’ve received updates through our MDM the past 3 years
Did the MDM change some privileges or user rights? Who is MDM?
The MDM is Kandji.
I would think if it did change that it would affect more than this one user. I also have a Mac managed by Kandji and do not have this issue.
