I closed the "Remember Password" dialog box for a website and the dialog box no longer displays for that website.
The problem only exists for websites which I used the "X" to close the dialog box when prompted to remember my password. How can I get firefox to begin displaying the dialog box again?
I have cleared the cache including cookies and reset Firefox.

I think when you X-ed out the password window, the browser thinks you don't want to save data for that site.
Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar.
Under Logins, Turn on Remember Logins To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.
Press the Exceptions button.
Got the dialog box to display again and completed the dialog, but entered the wrong password (smh). Tried to enter the correct password, but did not ask me if I wanted to update the stored password.
Deleted the entry in the stored passwords list, but to no avail.

Firefox should show a Key icon at the left end of the location/address bar when the Password Manager dettect a login form on a web page.
Note that you can double-click user name field and password field of an entry in the Password Manager to edit this item. You can also do this via the right-click context menu of a line, but edit password is only available when the password column is visible.
