I usually display the items ordered by the date they arrived. I changed it to 'From' but now it will not change back. I select 'Date' and the 'sort by' line flashes but nothing is affected. reselecting 'Sort by' shows 'From' is still selected. How can I get out of this situation, please? Am I doing something wrong? It has worked in the past. John

I'm trying to set up a couple of mailing list on my thunderbird Email account. I downloaded the instruction, told to open the Address Book then File then New then Maling List. Unfortunately I cannot find any of these actions from the Address Book. What do do??? thanks

on Thunderbird 115.16.3 (32 bit) I have a problem: only approximately the first half of the RSS feeds I've set up get downloaded.

Download always stops at the same feed.

The other don't: I have for each one to right click and choose download.

This happen since last, last by one or last by two updates: I'm not sure. Before it worked perfectly. I've cleaned the startup cache, but the behavior is still the same.

How can I solve the problem?

i wish to create file configure (users.js), i will add lines for my choose, and i create file sh (bash command) for installing new user (login Lightdm) example user: kiosk-01, autostart to firefox -kiosk file:///index.html this is works but i need add new configure for new user of firefox and new user login lightdm.

file users.js : where i will install? maybe /usr/lib64/firefox/browser/defaults/preferences/ (here file)? or overwrite to file firefox.js or other solution?

other thing: i will write here the list of preferences for disable stuffs for kiosk, example:

disable check browers,

disable all warn for quit, new tabs, etc etc.. later i will write the list for KIOSK ok?

for now how i add new configuration for new firefox profile for new user login..

After I upgraded my system to Kubuntu 24.04 thunderbird started eating CPU (150+% CPU usage according to htop). Because I couldn't tell if the culprit was the new KDE or the old profile, I tried to create a new profile, blow away the KDE config, etc. I also tried downloading the latest version of thunderbird from the website. Nothing helped.

I was able to replicate this problem using the in-memory, fresh KDE.

To replicate: Create Kubuntu 24.04 install USB. Boot from this USB. When asked to install or try, select "Try Kubuntu".

Start Thunderbird.

When prompted to create an account, select cancel. Go into settings, to the bottom, and select Maildir for file storage. Quit thunderbird, and start it again. Create account (select configure manually, enter the information for imap and smtp host, STARTTLS, detect authentication. My username does not contain an @, if that makes a difference). Select "Re-test"

Try to read mail. You will quickly notice that Thunderbird is consuming > 100% CPU, and UI is non-responsive.

Restarting thunderbird does not help.

netstat -tupane shows one or two connections to my imap server port 143, but wireshark doesn't show any traffic on port 143

Not that I think it matters (since I can't get Thunderbird to start seriously downloading from the server) but I have a big ( >100G) Maildir behind my courier server.

Note that I see this problem both with the version on Kubuntu 24.04 install USB, and the latest version downloaded from the thunderbird website.

A problem with an x.0 version? I've been using FF from "source code" for years on Debian Linux, but this is the first time such an update is failing after the most recent update to v133.0, as illustrated in attached image. How can I now update to the fix for this problem, please?

What has happened to the "More actions" menu button - the one that normally is in the upper left corner of windows (see the attached image)?

I have just installed a new PC, with Debian 12 and KDE (plasma 5.27.5); the other windows have this menu button, but not Firefox and Thunderbird. Is there a way to get it back, eg by moving the menu bar out of the title bar and back to where it used to be?

recently installed thunderbird / Mozilla on new computer but cannot send emails and get message as seen below. old computer still can send emails OK

While writing a new message with TB 128.5.0esr (64 bits), under windows11, the action "Insert Web link" make the TB windows freezing, and there is no way to close it out of killing TB process in the task manager.

The only way for now to send an email containing an hyperlink is to start TB in Safe Mode .

Is somenone has an idea for that issue as the functionnalitie was well working in previous TB versions .?

Hello, here’s the problem: I had / have 3 GMX mailboxes in Thunderbird on my PC. After I installed Thunderbird Mobile and spent several hours with it, I deleted all the mailboxes to import them again. Apparently, this also deleted all the mailboxes on GMX, as they are no longer visible there. I also can’t create new ones there, as the old ones seem to still be somewhere in the Background. In Thunderbird Mobile, I restored the mailboxes via import, but they are completely empty! Thunderbird Mobile has no connection to GMX. What can I do? I go to bed...

I have an issue where, from one day to the next, one of my employees lost the "open thread in a new tab" option. This option was available when right-clicking on a message and then selecting "open/open thread in a new tab." The option no longer works in the "inbox" folder, but it does still work in individual subfolders.

You folks updated Firefox and now I can't open earmarked accounts. Reading all of the reasons is not helping me. I am not computer literate to fool around with settings. So can I go back to old firefox.

I use Firefox with navigation bar hidden in Linux Web Apps (in Linux Mint > Web Apps :: where you can create apps from any web page). I particularly use Notion as an app. And recently, I guess with the new updates, there is showing an address bar where previously there was nothing. Is there a way to remove it?

Hi, I have started to use Thunderbird Mobile (Android) and it looks great. One thing I miss (or can't find) is the print option. I have it in my other apps and it works perfectly in my other apps. I can find a share option but there is no print option in that one. Am I missing something or is it just not a print option in Thunderbird Mobile yet?
