Folders grey and italics. Some sub-folders not showing
I have a situation where some folders are showing in grey and italics and no files in these folders are showing at the folder level. The sub-folders under these folders are showing fine in most cases, but a few of the sub-folders are also missing. It seems that the situation is only on folders with sub-folders, but one or two with sub-folders are working fine. I am running Thunderbird 91.7.0 (64bit) on my laptop and I have set up an IMAP link to my email account at a private mail server (everyone.net) with my own domain name. I have been using this set-up for many years without a problem. After trying many other things, including starting Thunderbird in Troubleshooting mode, I have uninstalled Thunderbird totally and have deleted my Thunderbird profile. I have then re-installed Thunderbird and set up my email IMAP account from start (without any add-ons at this stage) , but I experience the same problems. If I check my mails through a webmail browser, it is fin and all folders, sub-folders and files are showing. It is also fine on my mobile phone where I am using Bluemail as my mail client. I have also installed Bluemail on my laptop as a test and it also works fine and shows all the folders and files correctly, but I do not want to use Bluemail on my laptop as I prefer Thunderbird.

Thanks "sfhowes", problem solved. As recommended by "finleyluke", I have unchecked the 'Show only subscribed folders' box in Account Settings>Server Settings>Advanced. I can't see how this worked, but at least it did. Folders are not in grey italics anymore and the lost sub-directories are back. A simple solution, but finding that needle in the haystack needed guidance.
