In previous versions of Firefox cookies could be displayed. When I slelect Manage Data, no cookies are displayed. Cookies should be there as cookies enabled.

I can no longer see any cookies stored on my computer, with Firefox. After I select Manage Data... I get:

Manage Cookies and Site Data

screen but it is blank. Once in awhile I can see a few cookies stored but that is rare. What is wrong? To clear cookies I have to select Clear Data... but I have to select all and I can't see what I am selecting. I am using Windows 7.

Thanks,

Bill A

Make sure you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode as this can effect the Cookie Manager.

Try to rename/remove cookies.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Thanks for the note. Private browsing is not on. I renamed cookies.sqlite. After I restarted Firefox I turned cookies on in Privacy and Security. I then went to numerous sites. Then I came back to Privacy and Settings and turned off cookies. I then selected Manage data but no cookies are shown.

This all started with version 60.

Thanks again.

Do you see the cookies in the Storage Inspector?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
