As of December 9th Adobe released three updates for Windows and Mac OSX. For Windows and Mac 16.0.0.235, 13.0.0.259 ESR and 15.0.0.246 (not really available for download) and one for Linux 11.2.202.425 are not vulnerable according to Adobe and are not on blocklist.

I'm using FF 34.0 on Fedora 19 Linux and am constantly getting the message about Adobe Flash needing updating. However, both my system and Adobe say that I have version 11.2.202.425 installed and that it's the latest version for Linux. How can I get FF to stop doing this, preferably without stopping all checks for outdated plugins?

the firefox plugin checker has indeed showed incorrect information. i have manually went to the adobe update site, and there has really been a newer version available

The "new version" you told me to download is exactly the same version as I currently have installed. Please read the question in the future before offering an answer because you're only wasting everybody's time this way.

sideburns There is no reason to be cross with us. This is, after all, randomstuff question. And randomstuff seems to be doing well.

The plugin checker has a problem when new versions of programs come out. The issue being, no on tells it there are updates.

Every time I go to a site that uses flash, I get the same warning that it's outdated and asking me if I want to allow it or not. Then, after I tell it to allow it, I'm asked if Firefox should remember this. From all I can tell, there is no update for Linux and never will be. Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. A window for displaying site information should come up. Select More Information. Now select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

When I do that, I'm given the option to Ask to Activate or Never Activate when what I want is to allow it without asking. And, if I click on the link to update it, all I'm offered is the exact same version I already have. Thanx for trying, but alas, your fix doesn't fix anything for me.

sideburns you should have started a new thread instead of asking about Flash for Linux in somebody's else's ongoing thread when it was about Flash for Windows also.

There is indeed a update for Flash on Linux as I mentioned the 11.2.202.425 as it was released with the OS releases on Dec 9. https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

The other problem is some sites especially new sites have been in last months and longer now are expecting users to have more current versions that are provided for Windows and Mac when Adobe only does security updates for Flash on Linux.

Let me say this one, last time: the "new" version for Linux is EXACTLY THE SAME VERSION I'M USING NOW. There is no newer version available FOR LINUX. Please stop regurgitating the same useless trash.
