Please update to Firefox 30, it's quite a bit more stable than 25. If you still have trouble please let me know.

The latest version of the Flash plugin should perform better and crash less often. To check if Flash is up to date, visit Mozilla's Plugin Check page. If it says that Flash needs to be updated, install the latest version manually using the steps below.
I AM using latest Flash, having checked updates, and it crashes every time I try and use it!

Yes. WinXP users who are running Flash 10.3 r183 on any version of Firefox have very, very few problems in comparison to Vista+ users with the later versions of Flash.
WinXP!!?? Fine...tell me where I can find some boot discs to install a 10-yr-old OS that is no longer supported by Microsoft!!
enter about:config in search bar
type in the search box shumway
right click on it and chose toggle
you will see a change from true to false value
disable flash in extensions, i did it yesterday and it works great
I type in "shumway" in search box and get no response.....so cannot proceed any further!
Only the Nightly development version has any Shumway preferences right now, as that project is a long way from being finished.
See this for information about Shumway: http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/ It is available as an extension now - look under Try it out!

Please update to the latest Firefox 30 version. Even though the Shumway project was begun well over a year ago, Firefox 25 may not have all the "fixes" needed for the latest version of the Shumway extension.
