I now have roughly 100 email icons with no subject at the top of my screen. I have to scroll left through all of them before I get to the last 12 emails with subjects and then the inbox icon appears. When I click on a new email from the inbox, it opens and the email icon tab is all the way to the right. Now I have to scroll all the way back to the left to get to the inbox again!!. The email icon tabs cannot be deleted because the button turns light grey. Is there a solution or do I have to save the profile and uninstall Thunderbird?

trying to import my emails and folders from outlook into tbird via windows cvs file Outlook file from an old pc and need my emails. its not giving me an option to import emails just address book. if I use excel file it doesnt even see it. what do I need to do? and it keeps crashing on me

I'm using Thunderbird for desktop and android. Everything is nicely organized on my desktop. Subfolders are contained inside parent folders as they should be. However, on Android all of the subfolders are outside of the parent folder. Is there a way to fix this on Android so all of my subfolders are organized back inside the main folder?

get this message every time I try to send an email:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: [VO-1] Message blocked due to spam content in the message.. Please check the message and try again.

I attempted all troubleshooting through the website to no avail.

Mail Provider - Penn Tele Data - Mozilla Firebird ISP - Blueridge Firewall - Windows Defender Anti-Virus - none OS- Windows 10 Thunderbird - version 128.4.4esr

Two strange things happened with my Thunderbird emails today, all POP3. In the folder with emails from my sister (top folder with a few hundred emails, subfolders going back to 2004 with thousands of emails), all the emails after Nov. 7 had disappeared. That could be a only a couple of dozen emails. They also disappeared from my iPhone. (Now play the Twilight Zone music).

Then there is a folder called Randy (me) with various subfolders going back as long. Many fewer emails were there. It was mostly for receiving bcc's of emails sent from my iPhone, and most of those had been moved immediately to my Sent folders. They are still there. But there still should have been hundreds of emails. Every single one, plus all the subfolders, have disappeared.

A fix I've seen here might be to rebuild the entire message database. That would only work if the messages were still there but simply not synced any more. Last time I did it I had all the messages, but the search function had become erratic. It took overnight. Given that I still have most of my emails and the search function seems to be working, I'm afraid that I could do more harm than good by rebuilding the database.

I have my entire TB profile backed up. I could use that, but then I'd lose everything in/out since 10 days ago, when I left on an extended trip to France. That would include lots of daily reporting to friends and family about the trip.

There doesn't seem to be any way to restore just one folder, which would be ideal.

Suddenly, bizarrely, some of my sub folders have disappeared. They are not "greyed out". They have totally disappeared. I now missing important content, that I need. I have been unable to find a solution by browsing on this forum. Can anyone help? And if they are gone for good, can anyone suggest how I can prevent this from happening again?

I keep getting a warning...Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. I have no idea why it started or what that means. Help please?! Now I cannot even write an email. It's like it signed me out?

When I used to empty Junk (and compact) & Trash, I would then File / Compact Folders that would show how much space I was saving - I do not see how much space I am saving now for the past couple of months.

Did a Setting get changed ???

Occasionally I attempt to access a web site and the system asks if I want to sign in with e.g. b2clogin.com I really dont want this and would pfrefer to sign in with my email and password. Any help much appreciated!

Calendar data is correct in preview, but incorrect when editing

The dates in the preview (when I move the mouse over the calendar entry) are always correct. However, they differ from the entry when I click on Edit.

But it works for me when I delete cache.sqlite. However, I then delete the newer entry (which is displayed correctly in the preview).

Any ideas? Where does the preview data come from? Obviously from a different source than the data displayed in the edit view?

For a short while now all my received emails have extended line spacing resulting in excessive white space. I've not knowingly done anything to cause this. Is this something I can put right and how do I go about it?

I'm using the latest version of TB: 128.4.3esr (32-bit) . . . But, I think I have noticed this on previous versions, also.

I like to Disallow Remote content from loading, for security purposes, and then to select to Allow it or not.

But I notice that if Remote content is Disallowed, when I click to delete the email, sometimes it works as expected, and sometimes it does not. The problem is, it's like it deletes it, but then another copy of the email appears. It will not delete. I have to hit Escape, and then delete it in the list. Then that does nothing. I have to close and re-open TB to see that the email is gone.

This is in contrast to how if I just Allow Remote content, deleting an email always works as expected, but then there is the security risk.

If you get a lot of emails you don't want, it's nice to be able to delete them quickly.

What is hanging it up, if you Disallow Remote content?

I have tried Deleting smart mailboxes and virtualFolders.dat . . . This didn't do anything

Why would we suddenly stop receiving emails on ALL our thunderbird emails at 300 pm 11/20/24? Some get message local network down. Can send test and that goes through but outside vendors not receiving. How do we troubleshoot? need help because do not know where to look
