Since Mr. Brendan Eich has been forced out, does Mozilla expect all of its users to be Gay?
I have been using Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird for several years. However, if this recent situation with your ex-CEO indicates an absence of tolerance for non-Gays, it is probably best to find another set of Internet tools. I would feel lousy if -- at some time in the future -- Mozilla began purging its users, looking for non-Gays and doing to them what has just been done to Mr. Eich. My goal is to get along with everyone. I choose not to do business with the Gay Gestapo. Their lack of respect for others' beliefs is not an issue I want hanging over my head. A ticking time bomb, waiting to explode. This is business behavior unacceptable to me. Respect me -- respect my right to be who I choose to be. These are the same rights every Gay must extend to me.

Hi,
The decision was made by Brendan. Since the moment Brendan was appointed, free and open discussion has come from a diverse spectrum of viewpoints. Mozilla is an organization that believes in openness and that no one should be persecuted for the beliefs they hold, no matter what those beliefs are. We believe in unconditional freedom and openness. That's why we support rights for everyone.
