1) Updated the Firefox Accessibility issue and reboot. Nothing different 2) Ran through Microsoft's interval validation via Windows PowerShell

   a) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
   b) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
   c) sfc /scannow

3) Rebooted. Nothing different 4) Removed Firefox via Windows Control Panel 5) Rebooted. Task Manager NOW works perfectly 6) Reinstalled Firefox from Mozilla. org website 7) Rebooted. Same Task Manager not responding issue. Terminate Task Manager (waited a couple of minutes after selecting "x"). 8) Removed Firefox via Windows Control Panel 9) Rebooted. Task Manager now worked perfectly again. Please fix as I like Firefox as my primary Windows 10 Pro browser. FYI: 64 bit chip; 16GB Ram; 2TB SSD. (75% utilitized)

What if you booted in Safe Mode with Networking does the same problem happen or no? If it doesn't then that would mean there is underlying problem with the O/S or another software causing the problem to happen. FF on my Windows 10x64 Pro FCU 1709 has no issue with FF57.0.2x64.

Mozilla indicated that an update to FF addressed this issue. Today I downloaded & installed the update. The GPU was at 99++ to 100% utilization. So, even with the CPU nearly 30-50% and memory at 55ish% I had to power down and restart. I like FF so I'll await another update or solution. The only difference between the previous update and this FF update on my system (besides normal usage) is I updated Office 2013 to Office 2016. The Safe Mode Networking wasn't tried as the issue appears to be more GPU usage than not. Currently, just after this most recent reboot (15 minutes or so later) with only Chrome and Task Manager launched and running the GPU is about 1-4%, 8% max when I relaunch it. My cursor moves extremely slow with the GPU at 99++% which is expected but not desired with FF. THANKS!

Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.

Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
