Whenever I open firefox and immediately try to load the website http://www.espncricinfo.com/ , firefox stops responding. But if I try to load this site after browsing some other sites, the problem seems to resolve automatically. The website loads without any problem in Chrome or IE. I encountered this problem first with firefox 14 and with firefox 15, the problem persists.

Hi Sarfin_Ony

Try from Firefox button > History menu > select Clear Recent History.... > In the Time Range to clear: drop-down select Everything > Click the arrow next to Details > Select both Cookies and Cache > Click Clear Now.

thank you

Hi ideato,

Thanks for your reply. I've tried that but still the result is same. I've encountered this problem with fresh windows and firefox installation

Start Firefox in Safe Mode and check it again to see if one of the your extensions or hardware acceleration is the problem.

Do not click the Reset button. If the problem does not happen in Safe Mode see : Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

thanks again

Not actually a reply but I have a similar problem in that Firefox stops responding when I try to open a particular web site and I then have to close it before starting again. It is then OK on all other websites I use but this particular one fails each time. The problem did occur when I installed V18 but then did not appear when I installed V19 until the last week or so. It has not gone away with V19.0.2. IE has no problem with the web site. Not very satisfactory at all.
