I have the new MacBook Pro 14" M1 pro. The battery usage is showing as "significant" going from 100% - 55% in about an hour while only using Firefox 94.0.1 the latest update. - what I've tried is deleting Firefox and downloading a fresh copy in case the migrated version had a problem - using Monterey 12.0.1 and 16G of ram. My old 2015 MacBook Pro did not have this problem to the same extent, so for a new high performing and efficient M1 Pro chip to be draining the battery which should run for a working day is indicating a serious problem with Firefox. While the fan has not switched on the Laptop also gets warm which doing very basic internet surfing which should not be taxing enough to heat the whole laptop. Please address this serious problem, many thanks

Added screen shot of battery usage and memory. The very high battery usage has occurred twice.

Hi Ray,

Are you happen to use a non-standard cursor size or colors? We do have a bug for that. Until a newer version of macOS 12 is available with the fix, our current workaround is to use the standard cursor size and colors.

Please let me know if that helps.
